Telecom Network Capacity Planning and Forecasting

Monitor showing graph information of network traffic and wireless status of device in server room data centre

Satisfying the demand is a critical task in any Telecom or IT Service Provider and it is highly important to keep track of how key resources are utilized, how much capacity is left and where this will minimize cost and maximize profit.

In a service sector like telecommunications where sold information transmission units cannot be stored in inventory or back-ordered, having appropriate capacity to fulfil all demand becomes crucial. In order to achieve this goal, not only a well-designed planning system but a sound capacity expansion strategy is necessary.

In this course, capacity planning in a telecommunications network is studied in a systematic way, covering internal capacity planning, external capacity planning, transport, switching, wireless, data, and other aspects of a telecom network.

This training is best suited for the beginners in the field of network planning. It is also suitable for professionals at senior positions like CTOs, CFOs, CMOs, Directors, etc. who have expertise in their particular fields but want to enrich their knowledge to make intelligent and informed decisions related with company business. It is also highly beneficial to Strategy Managers, Finance Managers, Network Engineers, Planning Engineers, and anyone else who is keen to learn about network planning and forecasting
