After attending the training, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamentals of cellular and/or mobile network technologies.
  • Understand the differences between different generations of cellular networks, i.e. 2G, 3G, 3G+ and 4G, and their evolutions.
  • Be able to identify benefits of each generation of cellular network and how they inter-operate in commercial scenarios.
  • Understand alternative wireless data and voice network technologies e.g., Wi-Fi/WiMax, Femtocell and
  • Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA), and their role as substitutes for interconnecting with traditional 2G, 3G and 4G cellular networks.
  • Learn future trends of mobile communications
