Course Objectives
The Participant will be able to:
  • Present network impairments and the challenges to provide VoIP with acceptable quality
  • Define other sources for Voice quality degradation;
  • Describe the major mechanisms to handle these problems;
  • Describe how to test the readiness of VoIP system;
  • Describe predictive environment for testing VoIP
    components and system
  • Present optimization procedure to improve your VoIP
    network performance

Course Overview
In this seminar you will learn the VoIP challenges, how to provide acceptable QoS and ensure level of service according well known standards. You will learn the source of network impairments and voice quality degradation phenomenon; we shall review some methods for testing VoIP network, and the required testing tools to implement these tests. We will further discuss the Objective methods to evaluate the voice quality, analyze results to pinpoint the problems over the network. Finally we shall discuss about the possible solutions to overcome these problems to comply with the customers’ requirements.

Key Benefits
  • To identify VoIP network impairments and their sources
  • Create Predictive environment for reliable tests (IP network simulator, Network Impairments recording, setup your test-lab for reliable results)
  • To conduct Stress tests for performance evaluation
  • To carry out Objective Voice quality testing methods (PAMS, PESQ and E-Model)
  • To elaborate methods of how to pinpoint Traffic congestion sources?
