Course Overview
The goal of GSM/ UMTS Signaling in Core Network training is to present details and analysis of the Network Switching Subsystem of GSM/ UMTS in relation to SS7, including its layers such as MTP3, SCCP layer, and MAP layer. The participants will become familiar with ISUP signaling inter-working with GSM MAP signaling over TDM and IP (SIGTRAN).
GSM/ UMTS Signaling include analysis of signaling flows, analysis/debugging and troubleshooting. The participants will learn about practical usage of SS7 in GSM/ UMTS and be able to use it in daily work.
Key Benefits
The participants will gain a detailed knowledge of GSM/ UMTS Signaling in Core Network including it’s signal flows, the signal trace analysis, learn some case studies and its other applications such as SS7 over IP (SIGTRAN).
Pre-Requisites for Participants
A basic knowledge of Mobile Communication/ PSTN will be required.
Who Should Attend?
For engineers and managers responsible for the implementation, operations & maintenance and support for GSM NSS/ UMTS.
