Course Duration
5-day Instructor-Led, 0900-1700
Course Objectives
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- List and describe the major components in a Mobile IP architecture.
- Describe how data traffic is passed through a Mobile IP Network.
- Explain how Mobile IP works.
- Explain the benefits of a Mobile router.
- Recognise the issues involved in Mobile IP implementations.
Course Overview
This course presents Internet Protocol with underlying transmission technologies as well as higher level protocols and services. Extensive generic IP knowledge is covered and put into the perspective of mobile networks, in particular specific usage of IP-based services (such as .gprs domain or SIGTRAN) is included.
Key Benefits
This course provides uniquely essential and authoritative coverage of modern networks and IP telecommunication systems. It provides a solid foundation in the broad spectrum of current networking technologies. Participants can learn about the impact of IP on the entire, end-to-end mobile communications network.
Pre-Requisites for Participants
The participants are expected to have generic technical (telecommunication or computer science) background, and ability to understand technical topics. No specific knowledge is required, but familiarity with GSM or UMTS architecture and services would be beneficial.
Who Should Attend?
This course is intended for all Telecom engineers, Network Support staffs.
