GSM Radio Planning and Network Optimisation
Course Duration
5-day instructor-led training with case studies, 0900-1700

Course Objectives
The main focus of the training is how to improve, optimise and maintain network performances. The course explains network possible problems that may arise on the radio and BSS and the core network side. It discusses how to detect problems and proposes solutions.

At the end of this course, students will develop a macro view of GSM networks and performance.

Course Overview

GSM Network Optimisation and Performance course discusses in detail GSM network optimisation. The course fully explains radio network planning, dimensioning, frequency planning, optimisations methods, the common GSM parameters/timers and some more advanced one. It lists and discusses different problems of GSM networks on the BSS and core side.

Pre-Requisites for Participants
The participants should have understanding of telecommunication principles and some experience in GSM network in radio planning or core network.

Who Should Attend?
The course is particularly intended for engineers who are responsible for network planning, performance and optimisation.
