Singapore, July 4^th 2011: Following the April announcement of the joining of MEF (Metro Ethernet Forum) as a training provider, Telefocal Asia Pte Ltd is proud to be declared as the first MEF-Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional Accredited Training Provider (MEF-CECP ATP) in the global telecom training landscape. Being the first MEF-CECP ATP, Telefocal Asia is pleased to launch its first run of the MEF-CECP course from 25 July 2011 to 29 July 2011 in Singapore. This preparation course allows candidates to be properly equipped with Carrier Ethernet knowledge needed for the MEF-CECP examination. The topics covered in this preparation course include MEF definitions, access technologies, MEF certification, target applications, circuit emulation over Ethernet, SOAM and comparisons with other network services.

Candidates attending this course are advised to register for the MEF-CECP examination at www.metroethernetforum.org or www.ethernetacademy.net, offered by the MEF, so as to be certified as a MEF-CECP. The 105-minute MEF-CECP examination consists of 80 multiple choice questions and touches on the fundamentals of Carrier Ethernet. This examination can be taken online at home or the office regulated by a web-based proctoring technology, or in a MEF approved test facility.

This training course is intended to provide a strong insight to Carrier Ethernet technologies, the Metro Ethernet Forum specifications for services and how these services can be delivered over different carrier core and access networks and transport platform along with other services deployed.
