Introduction to Wireless RF Engineering

Course Objectives
This two-day course provides a solid grounding in principles of basic wireless system design and RF engineering.  After a brief appreciation of the development of cellular technologies, it surveys the main analog and digital standards in current use, noting specific features and capacity implications.  Propagation, wireless antenna systems, and traffic engineering principles are thoroughly examined.  Finally, wireless system design, growth, and performance considerations are explored with each student receiving example files on disk.

Pre-Requisite

Basic technical mathematics; exposure to general electronics
