Course Objectives
In this course, delegates will learn how to benchmark and optimize a radio network based on the FDD mode of UMTS. They will learn both the user and network equipment protocols. Connection of the FDD RAN to the 3G core and IP networks will be covered in detail. They will also study in depth the dimensioning and optimization of radio network parameters. All in all, the course will help delegates design UMTS-FDD networks that provide optimum performance for broadband wireless services while also being cost effective.

Pre-Requisite
A basic knowledge of GSM/CDMA and UMTS, IP and data communication technology will be required.
